Charlotte Frøyland Wins Award in IndieFEST Film Awards
(Los Angeles, CA, August 2020) – Charlotte Frøyland, of Suirad Dynamic, has won a prestigious Award of Recognition from the IndieFEST Film Awards. The award was given for Frøyland’s exciting short film, Hourglass, which empowers, shocks, and provides a relatable representation of sexual harassment and abuse. Hourglass features an inside look into the daily life of a young woman (Frøyland) in New York City as she falls victim to violating encounters. Charlotte’s performance was exceptionally realistic, gripping, and evocative. The story, written by Charlotte Frøyland and Tony Owusu, provides a cathartic experience for viewers who relate, and an eye-opening experience for viewers who don’t. Shot in and around Brooklyn, NY, director Darius Valentine carefully and passionately fulfills that vision and worked collaboratively alongside the team.
“So happy and proud that our film is getting recognized. In the midst of this very chaotic year, to have a film that encapsulates an important topic for young women and that is very personal to me get recognized like this warms my little heart. I appreciate everyone who was a part of and supported this project. Thank you so much!”
– Charlotte Frøyland (Lead Actor/Co-Writer/Producer)
